York Curiouser 2014 part of the University of York’s The Festival of Ideas. Lara Goodband and Hazel Colquhoun, curators, commissioned artist Jacques Nimki and his artwork Weeds, Handbags and Stories was installed at the National Centre of Early Music formerly St Margaret’s Church, York. Handbags labeled with their stories or local stories were planted with weeds and wildflowers labeled with related folk or plant lore stories then hidden round the graveyard and gardens, see York Curiouser.
